THE MYSTERY OF THE GOSPEL (6)
Main Text: “Now to Him that is of power to establish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began, but now is made manifest… and made known to all nations for the obedience of faith.” — Romans 16:25–26
Beloveds, welcome to the concluding edition of our series, “The Mystery of the Gospel.” I pray that this series has not merely increased your knowledge of the Gospel but deepened your love for Christ and strengthened your commitment to proclaim Him.
Throughout this series, we have discovered that the Gospel is the good news of Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection; the only message through which sinners are reconciled to God. We learned that it is called a mystery because it was hidden in the eternal counsel of God and remained beyond the reach of human wisdom until the Holy Spirit unveiled it. It became apparent that the Old Testament concealed this mystery through sacrifices, ceremonies, types, shadows, and prophetic declarations, all pointing to the coming Messiah. In essence, what was once veiled has now been fully revealed in the person and finished work of Jesus Christ. Also, we discovered one of the greatest wonders of redemption, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. That is, through the new birth, God no longer dwells in temples made with hands but in every believer by His Spirit.
Furthermore, we learned that the Gospel has broken every barrier between Jew and Gentile, creating one body, one family, and one inheritance in Christ. Simply put, what once divided humanity has been overcome by the cross. Finally, we saw that what prophets longed to understand and even angels marvel at has now been entrusted to the Church. In fact, the mystery has become a message, and that message has become our mission. Accordingly, Paul concluded his epistle by declaring that this mystery has now been “made known to all nations for the obedience of faith.”
Friends, God never reveals truth merely to satisfy our curiosity. He reveals it to transform our lives and to advance His Kingdom. So, the Gospel was not unveiled so it could remain within the walls of the Church. It was revealed so it could be proclaimed to the ends of the earth. As a matter of fact, every believer is therefore more than a recipient of the Gospel, we are its ambassadors. Although the mystery has been revealed, it remains veiled to those who reject Christ. As the Apostle Paul wrote, “but if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost” (2 Corinthians 4:3). Therefore, the responsibility of the Church is not to create a new message but to faithfully proclaim the One already revealed.
Child of God, permit me to tell you that through your words, your character, your love, and the power of the Holy Spirit, Christ is made known to a world still living in spiritual darkness. Yes, the mystery has been unveiled; now it must be declared. Truly, we have received what patriarchs anticipated, we possess what prophets searched for, and proclaim what apostles preached. As a result, we must never treat the Gospel as common. You must study it diligently, believe it wholeheartedly, live it consistently and proclaim it courageously. For there is no greater privilege than making Christ known.

- My Father and my God, thank You for revealing the mystery of the Gospel through Your Son, Jesus Christ.
- Establish me firmly in the truth of Your Word and preserve me from every form of error.
- Fill me afresh with the Holy Spirit and make me a bold and faithful witness of Christ.
- Let my life continually reflect the transforming power of the Gospel.
- Use me to remove the veil from many hearts, so that they may come to the knowledge of the truth and the obedience of faith.
